These are a no-fuss appetizer that can be put together in a matter of minutes. The result is a sausage ball that's crispy on the outside and tender inside, with lots of cheese laced throughout. If you don't enjoy pork, I would use an Italian ground turkey, just triple the amount of spices and add salt.

Cheddar Sausage Balls are so easy
With literally 4 steps, these delicious sausage balls can be ready in no time. All there is to do is combine all of the ingredients, mix them up, form the mixture into balls, and bake!
They make a great snack
What I love about these is that you can scale them as large or as small as you'd like. If you want to make them tiny you certainly can as they would be perfect as an appetizer; just stick a toothpick in each one and they can be easily transformed into a favorite party snack.
Using the sage sausage gives them a distinct flavor that matches the sharp cheddar cheese in such a pleasant way. If you wish, you can really add a lot to these sausage balls and make them your own...nuts and chives would be a great addition to this recipe.
Enjoy these Cheddar Sausage Balls!
Enjoy!
