The ambiance- This Beltline friendly gem is one to be enjoyed on any day especially one when there are no clouds in the sky. It was absolutely magical. From behind, Three Hearts is a very unassuming building, much like a lot of the restaurants positioned on this trail. The real magic began with a view from The Beltline. Many passersby stopped to admire the menu from the trail below. The menu offers a small variety of very special items.
The food: Ho Chi Minh- watermelon shaved ice topped with a spiced ginger syrup and one of my faves, tapioca pearls (boba). Now this delicacy was not like any other shaved ice. It was more like an actual frozen watermelon but somehow made into an Italian ice type consistency? I’m not exactly sure how they managed to pull off such a delicious treat but I do know that it was very refreshing!
Beignets- No, I have not been to Café Du Monde (famous for their beignets, located in New Orleans) as of yet…however... oh my gosh... they were so good!!! Soft, pillow-like clouds of goodness are words I can use to describe them; similar to a funnel cake, less crunchy, less greasy and not heavy at all.
