Celery Juice

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

My version of celery juice is a healthy and refreshing tonic that can have many benefits, the celery and ginger together create a winning combination. You can heighten the intensity as much as you see fit with the amount of ginger. I admire the intense taste ginger can bring so I tend to add quite a bit more than what's included here. Start with a little and then you can increase the amount based on your particular preference.

How to sweeten Celery Juice

I chose to use agave nectar for this drink but there are actually several ways you can sweeten celery juice. Sugar in the raw, honey, and Monk Fruit sweetener name just a few options. Of course, you could forego this option completely. It gives it a uniquely deep, rich flavor. If you're looking for something a little lighter, go for a different sweetener. You will need a high powered blender in order to pulverize the celery properly- if you're not using a juicer.

agave in the raw, limes, ginger, celery

I recommend adding all of the ingredients first and then adjusting the amount of lime, ginger, and sweetener to your particular liking. I really like ginger so I tend to be heavy-handed. One more thing...make sure everything is cleaned really well. Celery has a tendency to collect dirt in between its layers.

Celery Juice without a juicer

After everything has been blended to perfection, you can use a strainer to separate the pulp from the liquid. This in another opportunity to taste and make sure the juice is to your liking before serving.
