Glazed Chicken Meatballs

These meatballs are loaded with ginger, garlic, and cilantro and pack a whole lot of flavor. They are perfect on top of rice or ramen!



For the meatballs:

1 lb ground chicken

2 tbsp minced fresh ginger

2 tbsp minced garlic

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

¾ cup plain breadcrumbs

¾ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

For the glaze:

2 tbsp fish or soy sauce

2 tbsp honey

¼ cup packed brown sugar (optional)


  1. Mince garlic and ginger, chop cilantro.
  2. Combine ground chicken, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, cilantro, garlic, and ginger in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly and form into meatballs.
  4. Cook meatballs on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until they are cooked through (alternatively, bake in the oven).
  5. Prepare glaze of honey with fish sauce by combining them in a small mixing bowl.

  6. Pour glaze over meatballs during the final minutes of the cooking process, be sure not to cook glaze for longer than 1 minute. Just use it at the very end.
